Back-To-The-Future as Aussies return to vans, tents and holiday parks
The holiday of your childhood is back in vogue, as evidenced by the huge popularity of holiday parks (vans, tents, units). Hundreds-of-thousands are again flocking to their favourite places and Australia’s very best have just been named.
As part of its annual survey, more than 14,000 votes have been received by leading search and booking site www.turu.com.au to identify the most popular holiday parks in each state, as well as specialist categories such as Pet-Friendly and Family-Friendly.
“There is a re-connect for people when they go to a holiday park – both at a personal level and, quite often, with the location itself,” notes Turu General Manager, Robert Gallagher. “Some people like to move around, while others prefer to stick to a good thing, so these awards are significant to a great many Australians every time they get announced.
“And special mention should go to the Sapphire Beach Holiday Park, which has taken out three key categories, including the coveted Star-Rated award – based on the benchmark Star Ratings Australia evaluation scheme, which many people also use to help select their holiday destination.”
